WEEKEND SPECIAL! 9/24 & 9/25
1950s teal embroidered oaxacan skit set: I've been holding on to this set for a while! The cotton is extremely soft; and the best part is you can wear them together or separately with the potential for three different outfits. This set is on special this weekend (9/24 & 9/25) only for $98. Shop it here!

all in the details; 1980s/1990s billow skirt
I love this skirt. So simple, but the tab waist button closure and the epaulet on the back give it the perfect amount of "extra." Not to mention it is the perfect shade of white. Now available!

weekend specials!
New! I've been getting so many unique pieces in stock lately and sometimes find it difficult to incorporate them into the regular Monday collections. So starting today, I will be offering special pieces for a special price, Saturday & Sunday only!
This weekend's special is none other than the 1950s strapless french provence dress I rescued last week. Shop the special here!

Found: another rescue
Found this utterly gorgeous 1950's sweetheart strapless, fall french country printed dress, in the ... where else ... thrift's used halloween costume section. Good thing I made it in time; I hate to think what would have become of it.
Because it is so fitting for the season, this one will be available in the store next week!

before & after
I found this sad 1940's crepe dress in the used Halloween costume section at the thrift store. Its age and beauty were nearly unrecognizable with the major wrinkling, rips and grotesque craft-store lace trim. An hour or two with a seam-ripper, needle & thread and a steamer brought it back to life. Although it is shorter than I prefer for a garment of this age, it was the best I could do to save the length.
Note: why do people get so trim happy? - a similar project.
